About Me

Personally – I’ve been carrying a passport since I was seven.  Thus far, I’ve been to 527 places in 23 countries.

Unable to name just a few, my favourite spots Gerrards Cross, The Bay Area, Πολιτεία, Kamakura, Lisbon, Carndonagh,  Portland (Maine), Bristol, Oslo, Sydney, Te Anau, Salzburg, Reykjavik, Athens (Greece), Edinburgh, Prague, Somerset, Stockholm, Quebec.

Social Media – I blog.  Well into a few thousand, I continue my quest to write the perfect sentence.

Professionally – I am a Software Engineer with 20 years designing bespoke portal interfaces and back-end database solutions. My strengths include project planning, requirements gathering, user design, product testing and deployment, and day-to-day website operations oversight.

I am an engaged lead of a globally accessed operations portal that is 15+ years online and has remained relevant, supportive and modern.

Prior to that I was a founding software engineer for another portal that was retired after 8 successful years supporting its user base.

Sustaining and Innovating portals whilst supporting the user community requires focus, critical analysis, out-of-box solutions and diplomacy. I relish each.

In addition to my role as Team Lead, I am also a Solutions Strategist, introducing trends and automation to promote program efficiency, communication and visual reporting.

Oh, yes – I’m also a bit of an SQL nerd.

Professional Keywords include: SQL, Data Analysis, ASP.NET, AWS GovCloud, Portal Development, Deployment Management, Interface Design, Visual Studio, IIS, HTML, Bootstrap, StatCounter, Jira, Kanban.

My mantra is: Read. Laugh. Explore.
