I couldn’t tell you the last time I bought a pair of shoes with laces.
My footwear goals these last few years are in two categories: Shoeless and Comfy boots. Anything else besides a sandal exhausts me.
By no means am I anti-shoelace. Far from it.
Learning how to tie your shoes is a right of passage that a solid portion of this World’s 7.8 billion people collectively share. Add the few millions more circling the Heavens above … and we’re talking a prime directive here.
Also, if you’re one of the lucky ones, there’s a photo of you sitting on your parent’s lap as they show you one more time how to loop, loop, cross, tuck, pull.
No. Me and shoelaces, we be mates. That being said, I’m sticking to bare feet and my UGGs.
Moving on …
Yesterday it dawned on me that it’s mid November.
As I was closing the front door window because it was a wee bit cold, I thought: Good god, it’ll be snowing soon and here I am with the window open. I smiled when I realised it’s almost Winter.
I’ve not been living under a rock, instead I’ve been riding the supersonic work training these past 3 or 4 weeks. So much so that almost half of November WOOSHed me by. And that’s just fine by me.
It’s been a pleasant distraction. To check out of 2020 and deep dive into a world of spreadsheets, charts and website portal designs.
I call it the battle of Pivot Tables versus Global Pandemic.
And I’m happy to report that Pivot is slowly inching past Pandemic, with me cheering from the sidelines wearing a mask.
Look at me, doing my part to support the positive.
