Bank Monday

It is Labor Day here in the good ‘ole US of A. Which means a solid portion of the 9 to 5’ers have the day off.

It’s kind of an odd holiday. Not a time to give gifts, or enjoy a feast with family and friends, or dress for a party. No, today is more like a bank holiday in Europe. Just a Monday off.

To be clear: I am in no way complaining. It has been a thoroughly relaxing morning.

Which is lovely because I’ve an intense work schedule coming my way for the next 5 weeks. And if I deal with those 5 weeks properly, I will follow that up with another long stay back in England mid-October.

Cross fingers.

It’s just that, on days likes these, I never quite know what to do with myself.

I mean, I’m exactly a green thumber, or a painter or a builder. So I’m kind of useless in those household “project” departments.

Oh, sure, there’s always the washing up.

But who are we kidding?

So, instead, I am taking me and my new Jeep …

Along with me and my recently added tunes …

For those with questioning minds, yes, Ennio Morricone and Franz Liszt CAN be considered tunes, thank you very much.

And go on a left-right-left back road drive. To see what Mother Nature is sharing with the Universe today.

Happy Monday.
