Poem: Daybreak

First Light enters,

In muted colours of blue grey and yellow.

Teasing through window blinds

Down a resting head,

Daylight covers pillows

Tamed by Night.

A Quiet follows.

A companion to Dawn.

An intoxicating Presence.

A loud Silence.

I engage Stillness.

Ascent closes my eyes.

Absence calls my imagination.

I am away once again.

Roaming through dimensions

Searching memory for tales,

Subconscious painted canvases

Regulated by Destiny.

Second Light materialises,

In amplified colours of white grey and yellow.
